Bungie says it will ‘compensate and credit’ artist whose work was ‘mistakenly’ used in this week’s major Destiny 2 cutscene-
Earlier this week, as part of the ongoing Season of the Deep, Destiny 2 released a cutscene that casually pulled back the curtain on some of the deepest mysteries in its nine-year-long history. The three-and-a-half minute video is packed with revelations, finally explaining the origin of the current arc’s major villain, the Witness, as well as the exact nature of The Veil—arguably the most infuriating story beat from Lightfall’s mess of a campaign.
While some players are thrilled to have finally received answers, others are puzzled as to why such a major story beat has been delivered in a seasonal update, which will be removed when the next expansion, The Final Shape, launches next year. And over on Twitter, another controversy emerged. Accusations of plagiarism surfaced whe…

Lego goes all-out on a 3,745 piece D&D set with its own bespoke TTRPG adventure, but it’ll set you back a dragon’s ransom of $360-
As announced last year, a D&D and LEGO collab has been in the works for the TTRPG’s 50th anniversary—including a LEGO Ideas set (formerly called Dragon Keep: Journey’s End, now titled A Red Dragon’s Tale), which was devised by a fan designer by the name of Lucas Bolt.
The set’s going to be a stonking 3,745 pieces, and it’ll arrive with six unique minifigures and some monsters made out of bricks: A displacer beast, a beholder, some myconids, a mimic, and what appears to be a gelatinous cube which is, ah, a little less good than that promo suggested judging by this trailer, but the rest of the cast here is cute as heck.
I’m especially a fan of the Owlbear. He’s about to tear that adventurer a new one, but look at him.
What’s more, the set will…
Larian’s not holding back for its next two RPGs- ‘The machine was meant to make large games’-
Now that it’s done with Baldur’s Gate 3, Larian has two more RPGs on the docket. And because this is Larian, they’re likely going to be pretty massive.
Developing two RPGs concurrently sounds like a huge task, which is why I’ve been wondering if Larian planned to reduce their scale when compared to the behemoth that is Baldur’s Gate 3. It turns out that it’s not, CEO Swen Vincke tells me in an interview ahead of BG3’s first anniversary.
“The machine is meant to make large games,” he says. “We were made for making large, ambitious RPGs and to try new stuff.” It’s worth noting, too, that Larian has grown a lot over the last few years. While more developers doesn’t always equate to a faster turnaround or the ability to make more games, more resources certainly help.…
I have no idea what to make of this ‘motorvania’ about a biker coyote on a quest for vengeance, but I think I like it-
When I first saw the title Laika: Aged Through Blood, I immediately assumed that it would be some sort of weird take on firing dogs into space in the name of science—like Space Tail, maybe, but with more of an alt-history basis. But no, it’s actually stranger than that. It’s a “motorvania” about a Mother Coyote on a motorcycle who embarks upon a quest for vengeance in a post-apocalyptic world filled with anthropomorphic, gun-totin’ animals.
I really don’t know what to make of Laika. I love the art style (that’s what caught my eye in the first place) and it looks deeply dark: Let’s be honest, watching a cute, bipedal doggo bleed out from a gut shot is pretty grim stuff. But the description on the Steam page seems somewhat more upbeat and energetic about the whole thing.
No Alice sequel, says EA-
An update on American McGee’s Alice: Asylum Patreon project has revealed that EA won’t be taking on a sequel to the 2000 and 2011 Alice series, which creator McGee has been trying to get made for something like six years now. McGee says EA is neither interested in funding the project itself nor licensing the Alice IP to McGee.
“They have ultimately decided to pass on the project based on an internal analysis of the IP, market conditions, and details of the production proposal. On the question of licensing, they replied that “Alice” is an important part of EA’s overall game catalog, and selling or licensing it isn’t something they’re prepared to do right now,” said McGee in a post titled “End of the Adventure” on the Alice: Asylum Patreon project.

Notoriously salty Runescape player gets comeuppance as their 20,000 hour ‘skiller’ account is hacked and renamed ‘Same Password Everywhere’-
In a series of events that feel like some kind of marketing stunt by Big Password Manager, an Old School Runescape player with over 20,000 hours on a single character has had it snatched away by hackers. GamesRadar reports that Diddeboy—a notorious and not especially beloved figure in the Runescape community—awoke recently to find that their maxed-out “skiller” account had been stolen. Worse, whoever stole it had rubbed salt in the wound, renaming the character from Diddeboy1 to “Same Password Everywhere”.
If you’re not up on your Runescape lingo, a skiller account is essentially a kind of quasi-pacifist run: a self-imposed challenge that sees players try to max out their skill levels while remaining at combat level 3, the lowest possible for players in the game. Didde…
Starfield modders are already trading in Bethesda’s new buggy for Halo’s Warthog and Luke’s landspeeder-
Last week Bethesda finally gave Starfield players something they’d been asking for since the space RPG launched: a drivable land vehicle. Called the Rev-8, the new buggy can be added to your spaceship with a vehicle module so it’ll appear right next to you wherever you land, meaning you don’t have to run, jump, and jetpack to get where you need to go. Now you can drive.
Cool, thanks! Also, do you mind if modders immediately change everything about it?
You can probably guess at least one of the vehicles modders used to replace the vanilla Starfield buggy. Yep, it’s the Warthog from Halo. Specifically, it’s the M12B FAV (Force Application Vehicle), and although the mod looks pretty neat, I do notice one thing missing: a method for applying force. Doesn’t the Warthog typically …
